Who is NORT?
North of the Rift is an organization dedicated to empowering women farmers in the coffee-growing industry. Led by a coalition of inspiring trailblazers who led an endeavour not only to change the traditional dynamic in the coffee industry but absolutely turn it on its head. Seven visionaries returned to the land to create a new way, a sustainable way, one cup at a time.
The “Youth of NORT”
We see ourselves as the Youth of NORT—the bridge between the heritage of these incredible farmers and the modern coffee culture here in Finland and across Europe. Our mission is to represent the next generation of this movement. While NORT focuses on the harvest, we focus on the legacy: supporting the women and children on the farms to ensure a sustainable and bright future for their communities.
In partnership with BASF and NORT, we are launching our new NORT Coffee. Every bean represents a direct link to the women of the Rift. By choosing this coffee, you are directly contributing to social programs that provide better healthcare, education for children, and financial independence for women farmers.
